After graduating from Concordia University in Montreal, with a psychology degree, Jules Young, like many others, mesmerized by the entertainment world, decided to head to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor. After a short time, he realized that was not the career for him and instead decided he would become a teacher, his love for helping people made that a terrific choice. During his 10 teaching years, he obtained a masters degree from UCLA in psychology and yearned to be around the passionate entertainment field again.

In 1978, he made it possible to merge his two passions together, entertainment and helping others. Jules bought the Friedman agency in 1978 for a nominal amount and quickly turned it into a multi-million dollar corporation. As mentioned in entertainment trade magazines such as The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and as one of the top 101 most influential people in Hollywood by Entertainment Weekly magazine. Jules is known in town as someone who knows people, including many celebrities, and someone who makes things happen!

Still working the desk in his offices high above the famous Sunset strip, he is placing candidates and assisting clients every day! He is proud to have the best entertainment clients in Hollywood, all of whom have come to rely on him and his agency. Each day he comes to work, along with his dog Bella, he satisfies his passion and has placed thousands of applicants who now are executives in town!

Despite having traveled all over the world, assisting Hollywood is still his greatest passion and when he is not working or spending time in his West Hollywood home or Palm Springs villa on weekends, he is involved in the two charities, LA Free Clinic and Desert Aids Project.

He is working on a book that is sure to help young people about to chase their dreams of Hollywood. He is sharing tips on how to craft a road to Hollywood and find successful careers in the entertainment industry. The shared anecdotal accounts of what worked and didn’t are sure to be a page turner. The Secret key to Hollywood, A Handbook to Success, was written by Randa Handler and published years ago. Sold out and out of print. Jules is planning a deep detailed revision of it as a second edition, full of helpful tips and anecdotal success stories.
